Travel and accommodation

The symposium will be held on the main campus of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Campus Oefenplein). The presentations will be held in auditorium Qc and the posters are in the same place as the breaks and lunches (the Nelson Mandela room). The green campus has many facilities, is easy to reach and located close to the centre of Brussels. Be aware that there is more than one campus of the Vrije Unversiteit Brussel (VUB) and that there also exists a Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) which is a different institute at the same or other locations. Therefore, to avoid confusion, always ask or look for “VUB at the main campus in Etterbeek”!).

Accommodation will not be organised by the committee.This has to be arranged by each participant individually.There are many hotels of different price classes in Brussels and we may refer to: http://www.book-a-hotel-in-brussels.com/en/index.html

The location of the symposium is near the railway station of Etterbeek and at walking distance from the metro stations Petillon and Delta (Metro line 1A). We can recommend to look for hotels in the real centre of Brussels, close to the Central Station, Market place etc. because there is a direct Metro line to the VUB (about 15 minutes).

Transport from and to airport or railway stations will not be organised by the committee. The public transport and train connections to the location of the symposium is excellent and not expensive.
