About HTML

HTML or HyperText Meta Language is the language in which hypertext documents - among which WWW - are written. The latest HTML reference specification (= standard) is 4.01

About World Wide Web in General

A complete description of the WWW project can be found on the W3C's webserver . The WWW was originally developed at CERN (Switzerland).

World Wide Web Software

The software to run WWW has been developed on many platforms. For the platforms most used at our university, the software is available on the Anonymous FTP server at the Computing Centre .
