in English, as a file in Rich Text Format (RTF) that can be viewed and printed well by most versions of most programs for word processing

a presentation about "Pictures on computers"

a presentation about "Presentation software"

For the exercise on creating a presentation,
each student can copy
a design template for a presentation with slides for the program Microsoft PowerPoint,
that I developed so that it is is suitable (or at least acceptable) at the same time for various output methods:
display on computer, printing on transparency, printing of handouts, projection.

Essentially, format and contents are developed and kept in separate files:
each .pot file carries a design, each .ppt file carries contents, and an appropriate template in a .pot file is "applied" to your presentation .ppt file, using the menu items
Format | Apply design template.

1. Download the template.pot file to your disk.
2. Create a new, empty presentation file (.ppt) in PowerPoint
Alternatively, you can start from any other .ppt file.
3. Apply the downloaded design template.pot to this presentation. That does not mean File | Open template.pot, but use Format | Design template when working on your presentation .ppt file.
4. If you do not like the formatting/design of the presentation, then open the template.pot file in PowerPoint and change the formatting/design. Then apply this modified design template in the .pot file to your presentation .ppt file.
In this way you can improve, save and keep the design template for later use with other presentations.
