Registration

The following categories of readers may register:

• Price: 2,50 Euro (at the loan desk)

  
  

  • VUB and AZ-VUB students and staff (including students Erasmushogeschool, Vesalius college, Boston University and Erasmus-program)

    
    

  • Alumni with an alumni pass of the VUB

    
    

  • ULB library card holders

    
    

• Price: 5,00 Euro (via an online request form)

  
  

  • Special admission by the library administration:

Only students and staff with a VUB Net ID have off campus access to our electronic resources. Other readers can consult these for free on the library premises.

Restricted loans

Regular loans: 3 weeks (6 weeks for academic VUB staff)

Interlibrary lending materials (ILL) : 3 weeks

Dots on books restrict the loan

Theses: on the spot consultation (cannot be lent out)

VUB theses and dissertations can be requested at the desk of the presentation room (central library) or theses room (medical library) but cannot be lent out. No consultation if no prior apporval by authors of dissertations. No copying of dissertations.

Fines

Regular loans (3 weeks or 6 weeks for academic staff) or yellow dot (1 week)

If the user can prove good faith (medical reasons or force majeure), the penalty may be dropped.

Green dot (1 day)
