From the 13th until the 16th of February 2013 the College Art Association hosts its annual conference in New York. This year's theme is "Creative Kitchens: Art, Food, and the Domestic Landscape after World War II". Abstracts have to be sent in before the May 4th, 2012. Click here for more information.

13.12.2011 - The Duke University Library cookery book collection permanently accessible online

The cookbook collection of Nicole Di Bona Peterson is permanently accessible online. The collection contains 82 cookbooks from the period 1878-1929 that promote specific products and kitchen appliances.

29.07.2011 - Programme 'Food History and Culture'

As of the academic year 2011-2012, students who are enrolled in the Master of Arts in History at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, can specialize in 'Food History and Culture'. Next to the compulsory courses, it will be possible to choose 28 ECTS within the field of food history. The Master's thesis can also be situated within this field of research.

As of today, the FOST website is also available in English!!! This website aims to provide information about social and cultural food studies, on both a national and international level.
