Olivier de Maret

Olivier de Maret graduated with a Bachelor in International Affairs and History from Vesalius College (Vrije Universiteit Brussel) in 2003. He then obtained a Master's degree in Modern European History from King's College London in 2005. The title of his M.A. dissertation was 'Images of War, Memories at War: Reading and Remembering World War II in Belgium.' As of October 2009 he joined the research group FOST as a PhD student, dealing with Italian immigrants in Brussels, their meeting-places and the construction of identity linked to food and foodways, roughly from 1880 to 1935.
