Willem Scheire

Willem Scheire (°1985) obtained a Master’s degree in history at the Vrije
Universiteit Brussel in 2008. The title of his Master’s Thesis was ‘Punk in
Flanders in the 70s: Popular Culture and Youth Culture in a Time of Crisis’.
In 2009, he obtained a Master’s degree in American Studies and a Teacher’s
degree. As of October 2010, he is a member of FOST, working on a Ph.D. on the
diffusion of the refrigerator in Belgium. It is part of the GOA 2010-2014: Omnivore Paradoxes in History: Food Traditions
and Novelties in Europe since 1800.
