Who is who?

Wim Lemmens

Wim Lemmens (1986) graduated from the History Department at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in 2008. His Master's thesis explored the development of a liberal political and cultural awareness in cities in the province of Limburg in the second part of the 19th century. In 2008-2009, he was enrolled in the Master 2 Histoire program at the Université Paris-I (Panthéon-Sorbonne), where he wrote a thesis on the influence of French exiles on the diffusian of liberal principles within the United Kingdom of the Netherlands. As of September 2009, he is a researcher at the Liberal Archives in Ghent. He is preparing a Ph.D. on networks of journalists, the diffusion of liberal political ideas and the construction of a liberal opinion (of the media) in Belgium (1815-1860).
