Alexander Meert
Alexander Meert obtained a Master in History with a thesis on the function of the god Neptunus within Roman religious praxis. In 2003-2004, he was involved in the History Department's innovative project 'Start+' and in 2008 he also participated in the project on research methodology in the Human Sciences. As from October 2007, he is associated with the History Department as a research assistant specialized in Antiquity. In September 2010, he started his Ph.D. research on positive atheism in antiquity at the UGent under supervision of Prof. dr. P. Van Nuffelen.
