Jan Van de Poel

Jan Van de Poel obtained a Master in History at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in 2005, defending a Master's thesis on the history of Oxfam stores. This thesis received the prize De Bock-Doehaerd and the Prijs voor Ontwikkelingssamenwerking (Koninklijk Museum voor Midden-Afrika). He also obtained his Master in International Politics at the Université Catholique de Louvain. As of October 2006, he is preparing a Ph.D. on the context of solidarity in Belgian society and the interaction between NGO's, public and government, and development aid and thinking about this issue.
