Abstract:
The general objective of this project is to identify socio-economic inequalities in mortality in census tracts of 14 European cities (for example Brussels, Lisbon, Barcelona, Turin, Rotterdam) at the beginning of the 21st century over a span of 5-10 years centred around 2005. Furthermore, a comparison will be made between the social and health policies undertaken in these cities, including policies using EU structural funds, to address inequalities in order to contribute to the improvement of methods to tackle health inequalities in cities.
