Chiron finder chart

Click on the figure above to see a finder chart for Chiron. The finder chart shows the movement of Chiron from 1995 January 10.0 UT through 1997 March 20.0 UT. The finder chart was created with the help of SkyMap (see also the page on the Chiron - NGC approach ). I only shows stars down to about magnitude 9.

A more detailed finder chart is given in the images section of the Chiron Perihelion Campaign pages. One finder chart (GIF file, 3 kBytes), prepared by George Varros, is centered on the position RA 11:20:15 and Dec +00 16. It shows the position of Chiron for the period 1995 May-June. There are also other finder charts prepared by George Varros. Also available there are PostScript files, prepared by Mike Kaken at the University of Maryland (the home of the Chiron Perihelion Campaign).
