BICCS and New Europe start a series of op-eds on the impact of China's rise on great power politics. These articles will elaborate on topics that are discussed during the spring lecture series. Eleven international top speakers will discuss China's strategic partnerships and what they mean for Europe. Our first articles will focuss on power transition in Asia, China’s strategic thinking, the meaning of strategic partnerships and China’s relations with the developing world.

Norms in China's domestic and international politics - How are Chinese citizens perceiving human rights? Will economic development lead to a normative convergence with the West? How is China influencing the rules of the game in international business? In its next Asia Papers BICCS will focus on the evolution of China's political values and how they will affect the government's plans for domestic reform, its foreign policies and its relations with the EU.
