Most of the faculties are located on this campus, it is the liveliest of our two campuses. The activities mainly take place in the numerous auditoriums and labs, which bit by bit, have been outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment. In addition, there is a modern sports centre with various rooms for sporting activities, a football pitch encircled by a running track and an on-campus swimming pool. For eating out, there is not just the student restaurant, but also some snack bars ('t Complex, Opinio).

The campus in Jette is also a fully-fledged campus. The medical instructor, researcher or student can find well-equipped classrooms, student housing, a day-care centre for children, a restaurant and a modern sports complex. All medical courses and research, the so-called life sciences (medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, the biomedical and paramedical sciences) take place here.
Whoever mentions the medical campus of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, cannot forget to mention the University Hospital. It is only logical: with more than 25,000 patients admitted annually, it is one of the largest hospitals in Belgium.
However, it is not just because of its size that the University Hospital is of great value to Brussels and the neighbouring Flemish communities. For its part, it also makes an essential contribution to fundamental and applied scientific research, and it is also well-known for its very friendly approach towards patients.
