16.12.2009 - Call for a catchy new logo

Two Master programmes, MARELAC (UGent) and ECOMAMA (VUB and UA) have decided to become a joint master programme from next academic year onwards. The new master programme will, upon successful completion, confer the degree of Master of marine and lacustrine science and management. Its short name will be 'Oceans and Lakes'.

Design a logo and maybe you will win € 500
The final programme is in the process of final approval, meanwhile we are looking for a catchy and attractive new logo. As its title suggests, the programme focuses on marine and lacustrine systems, research and management, at all latitudes…. Representatives of the three universities together will decide which of the presented logos will be used. Evidently the logo has to be an original creation and the people submitting a project declare by submitting that their work is original, both in design and presentation. The winner will allow use of this logo for the programme and its PR. His or her name will be mentioned in the presentation of the new programme. He or she will be offered a FNAC voucher worth € 500. Hard copy or electronic version to be submitted anonymous* by January 10th, 2010, 6 p.m. to: Cindy De Muynck, ECOMAMA Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Pleinlaan 2, 1050 Brussels, Belgium.
