Sport activities for staff
Midday Sports Programme
The recreational sports enthusiasts among our staff have plenty to interest them at our sports complex. The purchase of a club card (5 euro) allows them to participate for an entire academic year in the activities of the staff sports programme where special lunch-hour sessions are scheduled to accommodate them.

Staff members who wish to take part in the general sports programme must have a club card and, like the VUB students, pay 15€ for the sport-punch.
Indoor soccer staff competition
Even the most competitive spirits among the VUB staff are sure to enjoy the indoor soccer staff competition, organised for staff members during the academic year. From October, on Tuesday ans friday, from noon to 1pm, the green hall will serve as the battlefield for this contest. Numerous staff teams register every year to compete for the fiercely coveted challenge cup.

Sports Day for civil servants
On Thursday 23 september 2010 BLOSO is organising the 21st edition of the Sports Day for Civil Servants. On this day, all the civil servants of the Flemish government, as well as the VUB staff, are invited to participate together with colleagues in sports events on and around the VUB campus in Etterbeek. An extensive range of sporting activities is once again available on the sports menu. Participants can choose from hiking, biking and mountain bike hires, tournaments and an open sports programme featuring 38 different activities.
Vrije Universiteit Brussel staff members will receive details of participation and registration conditions in early September.
