STUDIES :

Licentiate Chemistry 1962 - University of Ghent (with the award of the Town of Ghent for best science student).

Ph.D. Chemistry 1966 - University of Ghent with a thesis on "Neutron Activation Analysis of Rare Earths" , Promotor : Prof. Hoste.

ACADEMIC CARREER :

- 1962 : research assistant of the IIKW (fund for Nuclear Research) in the Laboratory of Analytical Chemistry (Prof. Hoste)

- 1966 : first assistant of the IIKW in the same laboratory.

- 1968 : docent (junior professor) of analytical chemistry, director of the laboratory of analytical chemistry at the Pharmaceutical Institute of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.

- 1974 : full professor (analytical chemistry and food science)

- 1992 : professor at the Université Catholique de Louvain (chemometrics)

- 1996 : professor in the Flemish Interuniversity program for industrial pharmacy (chemometrics)

- 01/10/2003 : emeritus gewoon hoogleraar met toelating tot volgende academische activiteit - Onderwijs : Voedings- en dieetleer 30u HOC, 2de jaar Apotheker, Fac G&F, Vakgebied Farmacie
