We would like to organize a small meeting of PhD students and young researchers within the Earth System Science to provide an informal setting to interact about the various research themes. This meeting will offer an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with the people of ESSC.

The main focus for the meeting is to present interdisciplinary research crossing the borders of different research fields operative within ESSC.

The date of the meeting would be in the afternoon of 30 November 2009. Presentations would be limited to c. 15min. and plenty of time for discussion. Possibly, we could also add a key-note lecture.

Suggestions for the organisation of the meeting are very welcome and can be mailed to: Jan Coenaerts (jcoenaer@vub.ac.be) or Virginie Renson (vrenson@vub.ac.be). Please also send a title for the research talk you would like to give.

The MARI website exist two years! During that time span, we recieved nearly 7500 visitord, mainly from Belgium, the UK and US. After two years, it is time for a serious update of the site. The MARI website will be under contruction for a while.
