The Doctoral School (DS) activities can be organized by several parties:
1. By the university, as regular courses
2. By initiative of DS members (staff and students)
3. By the partner University UGent, especially its DS-LSM
4. By external partners of the DS-LSM
In principle, activities organized by the DS are free of charge for student members of that DS. This is especially the case for regular courses and for activities organized by the DS itself and by its partner UGent.
Doctoral Schools can co-organize and sponsor activities that are then free of charge for its DS members. However, Doctoral Schools can also announce and credit activities that will require entrance fees in activities where the DS is not a co-organizer.
PhD students should know that the DS can sponsor initiatives but will not reimburse students.
