VUB proud partner in Green Deal Circular Building

Building the future together. That is the statement that over 230 organizations make by signing the Green Deal Circular Building of Circular Flanders and the Flemish Construction Confederation.

VUB also signed up, and is well represented. In addition to the research group VUB Architectural Engineering, spin-offs Lumency and Zensor, and the VUB-Directie Infrastructuur signed too. VUB supports the Green Deal by offering space for experimentation and by sharing knowledge and experience. Together with many Flemish companies, governments and sector organizations, we give Flanders a leading role in the field of Design for Change and Circular building.

For example, VUB Architectural Engineering offers research support in 6 Open Call Projects and the Flemish Circular Living Labs, two initiatives of Flanders Circular under the terms of the Green Deal. In addition, much attention is paid to circular tendering and building in the Circular Retrofit Lab, the WVDM Living Lab, the renovation of the Braem building and the refurbishment of various offices. In this way we are building on the road to a climate-neutral university by research and development.
