The year 2015 is the 40th anniversary of establishment of formal diplomat relations between China and EU, and the EU-China relationship has entered into a new phase. In April 2015, China government clearly defined the EU-China relations as a partnership of peace, growth, reform and civilization in its policy paper on EU-China relations. To mark this occasion, the Brussels Academy of China and European Studies (BACES) and the China Scholarship Council jointly organise a high level conference.
BACES is an academic platform, created by Renmin University of China, Sichuan University, Fudan University and VUB.

The conference will take place on 15th September. It is to bring together Chinese and European scholars, governmental officials, diplomats, think-tank members and business communities to explore further the importance and possibilities of the EU-China strategic partnership. It will do so from the perspectives of Peace and Security, Growth and Development, Reform and Governance, Civilization and Culture, under the framework of EU-China High Level People to People Dialogue meeting in September 2015, where Madam Liu Yandong, Vice Premier of People’s Republic of China will meet with Mr. Tibor Navracsics, new European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport.
