In this 8 week training you will learn skills on how to deal with stress and improve your quality of life. This BRUCC training will combine mindfulness techniques with state-of-the-art insights into stress mechanisms, coping with rumination and negative feelings, somatic complaints and cognitive behavioral therapy.

Mindfulness is being aware and awake to the present moment. You will learn how to recognize habitual, unhelpful reactions and learn to how to switch to an interested, accepting and non-judgmental attitude to all experience (including difficult emotions, thoughts and behavior). Techniques from Cognitive Behavior Therapy are incorporated into the program to promote greater awareness of your own patterns and you will be taught how to change your relationship to unwanted thoughts, feelings and body sensations.

Research has shown a significant impact of this mindfulness-based intervention on life quality and general wellbeing, as a reduction of feelings of stress, anxiety, negative thoughts, sleeping problems and chronic pain.
