JOB APPLICATION PROCEDURES

The application process varies according to your (future) function.

Management & Professionals

Who? Colleagues who work primarily in a support capacity in departments such as marketing and communication, finance, HR, ICT... or within the faculties. They keep the day-to-day operations at the VUB running smoothly.

How? After submitting your CV and cover letter, there will be an initial screening by our HR colleagues. If you are selected, you will be invited for a talent assessment test. Following successful testing, you will be invited for a final interview with a selection committee. This procedure may vary for according to the function.

Academic personnel and researchers

Who? Professors, teaching assistants and researchers.

How? As a researcher, professor or assistant, you apply for a position through the faculty. Key selection criteria will include your research and management abilities as well as teaching skills (where relevant).

Doctoral students (PhD students)

Who? Doctoral students with a fellowship who are associated with a department and/or research group. They conduct research a PhD, under the supervision of a promotor.

How? Your application process will be conducted through the faculty.
