Join us at the award ceremony of this year's VUB University Development Cooperation (UDC) Career Award, where we will celebrate two recipients for this remarkable achievements in university development cooperation: Professor Geert Angenon and Professor Ann Nowé. The event will take place on Tuesday 28 May, at 17:00. 

For those who are not able to join the event in person, we will foresee a 'live streaming', so please indicate this option when registering to attend the event.

The award is given to a VUB member of staff who has a proven track record in university development cooperation, an extensive network with partners in the Global South, and has remained accessible to the VUB community. 

The UDC Career Award was created by the VUB International Relations office's University Development Cooperation team, to recognise VUB members of staff for their contribution to university development cooperation. The award is part of the VUB Global Minds programme, which aims to strength cooperation with partners in the Global South. Nominees must be an active member of staff from the VUB with a proven track record in university development cooperation, and must have an extensive network with partners in the Global South. 

The event will take place on Tuesday 28 May, at 17:00. We ask that attendees are ready to enter the room at 16:45, so we can begin promptly at 17:00. The ceremony will be followed by a reception. The UDC Career Award is organised as part of the VUB International Days 2024, where we highlight the office's work. The International Days 2024 are aimed at VUB staff and PhDs, and will take place on 27-28-29 May.
